| Introduction |
At South Jersey Industries,
we are committed to being the energy company of first
choice for our customers and employees. Our primary
customer base consists of residents from the seven
southernmost New Jersey counties that include a wide
variety of demographic differences. Similarly, we
strive to reflect this diversity in our workforce
and organizational culture.
SJI’s Supplier
Diversity Program is another example of our commitment
to diversity and inclusion. We value the contributions
of a diverse array of suppliers to support SJI’s
team in providing exceptional customer services and
products. Additionally, our Supplier
Diversity Program aims to increase opportunities
for retailers while expanding the number
of women and minority owned vendors with whom we
do business.
As Chairman and CEO,
I remain firmly committed to promoting diversity
through all of SJI’s business lines and look
forward to expanding our Supplier Diversity Program
by further embracing and developing this important
initiative.

Diversity Program |
|
Continued success depends on our ability
to achieve business objectives. Our suppliers are integral
to those objectives. The Supplier Diversity Program
looks to expand these relationships with women and
minority owned vendors that provide competitive prices
and services to SJI. We believe that building a more
diverse supplier base will help us to better serve
our customers and remain competitive in a deregulated
environment.
