FOLSOM, N.J. -- South Jersey Industries
and South Jersey Gas recently announced promotions in SJGs
engineering department and SJIs financial planning departments.
Joseph R. Schneider was promoted to senior engineer from associate engineer. As senior engineer, Schneider schedules and supervises the preparation and maintenance of all system maps and associated records of SJGs transmission and distribution systems. He also assists management with system planning, cost estimating and conducts special studies to ensure capacity for future gas deliveries. Schneider joined SJG in 1997 and holds a bachelors degree in civil engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is also a registered professional engineer in Delaware. Schneider resides in Norwood, Pa.
Thomas B. Quinlan was promoted to associate engineer from staff engineer. Quinlan helps prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for pipelines, meter stations, and other construction projects. He also conducts studies to determine system improvements required to meet future growth and load characteristics; and contracts and works with architects, outside engineers and consultants to provide and obtain information on special projects. Quinlan joined SJG in 1991 and holds a masters degree in engineering from Widener University. He resides in Mays Landing, N.J. with his wife, Christina, and their three children.
Donna Schempp was promoted to the position of senior budgeting analyst from budgeting analyst. Schempp now coordinates the planning and development of short- and long-range forecasts for South Jersey Industries and its subsidiaries. She also prepares financial comparisons and explanations of actual and budget variances and develops budget control policies and procedures. Schempp joined the company in 1992 and holds a bachelors degree in accounting from Rowan University. She resides in Turnersville.
