FOLSOM, N.J. -- Charles Biscieglia, president, CEO and chairman of South Jersey Industries announced today that Jane F. Kelly, Esq. was elected assistant corporate secretary and assistant counsel for South Jersey Industries (www.sjindustries.com) and corporate secretary for South Jersey Energy.
In her position, Kelly will work on
various legal matters related to contracts, contract administration, environmental
issues and litigation. She will also assist the corporate secretary in the performance
of his duties.
Kelly earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence
degree from Seton Hall University and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar and
the United States District Courts in 1981. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree
in English Literature from Rosemont College in Pennsylvania. She has served
as the executive director of the New Jersey Utilities Association, assistant
counsel to Governor Thomas Kean and, most recently, as an assistant commissioner
for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
"Her 20 years of experience in New Jersey state government and the private sector and her direct involvement in crafting legislation affecting the utility industry will make Jane Kelly a great asset to our company," said Biscieglia.
Kelly resides in Princeton, New Jersey
with her husband, Dr. Gary Brickner, and their three children.
