FOLSOM, N.J. -- South Jersey Gas ranked third among utility companies in the East Region in a recent customer satisfaction survey by J.D. Power and Associates of Westlake Village, California. The study measured customer satisfaction in four regions across the country on six key factors: communications, company image, price and value, billing and payment, customer service, and field service.
“We are pleased with the results of the survey as we moved up from fourth place last year,” said Edward J. Graham, president and CEO. “We operate with a philosophy of continuous improvement and our employees work diligently to increase efficiency and productivity as well as to go the extra mile to exceed our customers’ expectations.”
For the first time the survey included a component that measures effectiveness of communications between the utility and its residential customers. Results showed that the more frequently a utility communicates with customers the more satisfied they are overall.
