FOLSOM, N.J. - South Jersey Industries Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Edward J. Graham was elected to serve as vice chairman of the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education.
Previously, Graham served as a member of the Commission’s Executive Committee. Created in 1994, the Commission is responsible for providing coordination, planning, policy development and advocacy for the state’s higher education system. The system includes both public and independent institutions of higher learning in the state.
“It is an honor to serve as vice chairman of the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education,” said Graham. “I look forward to continue working with my fellow Commissioners in developing strategic initiatives to ensure that New Jersey's institutions of higher learning are among the best in the nation".
Graham, who joined the company in 1981, has held a variety of senior executive positions in SJI and its subsidiaries. An alumnus of Rider University for his under graduate degree, Graham holds a Masters of Business Administration in finance and investment from Drexel University. Currently, he serves as a member of the American Gas Association’s Leadership Council and serves on the board of directors of the New Jersey Utilities Association, the New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company, the New Jersey Business & Industry Association, South Jersey Healthcare Foundation and the Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce.
In addition, Graham serves as a board member of the United Way of Atlantic County, is chairman of the South Jersey Healthcare Foundation’s Finance Committee and is chairman of the Rowan University Foundation Board. He resides in Sewell with his wife and three children.
