Winner Describes How Her Family Saves Energy

Gas announced Sierra Tipton of Landisville, NJ, as the
winner of their essay contest held for the children
of their Energy Savings Club Members. The competition
encouraged New Jersey youth to describe what their households
do to implement energy efficient measures in their homes.
In her winning
essay, Tipton described the ways her family
implements energy efficient measures in their home including
caulking windows to prevent air leakage, washing laundry
in cold water and how they recently switched their water
heater and dryer from electric to gas models.
As the winner, Tipton will receive a $100 American
Express gift card and have her essay along with photo displayed
on South Jersey Gas’s Web site.
