FOLSOM, N.J. – South Jersey Energy Service Plus (SJESP), a subsidiary of South Jersey Industries, has announced that it is now offering the installation of solar electric systems for home and commercial business owners throughout South Jersey. Solar electric systems use sunlight to generate electricity with no fossil fuels or emissions.
Working in conjunction with the New Jersey Clean Energy Program, SJESP ensures that each installation meets or exceeds Clean Energy Program standards. The professional SJESP staff coordinates custom layout and design, permitting and engineering, system installation, local power company interconnection, system inspection and filing of all rebate forms for each installation.
“We’re pleased to offer an alternative energy product that is good for the environment, allows customers to reduce or eliminate their electric bills, and protects them from future energy price increases”, said Robert Fatzinger, vice president of SJESP.
Along with reducing or eliminating electric bills, SJESP solar systems offer numerous financial incentives, including a Federal Tax Credit of up to 30% ($2,000 maximum); full exemption of NJ’s 7% sales tax on system installation; and NJ State rebates which cover approximately 50% of the overall cost of the system.
In addition to solar electric systems, South Jersey Energy Service Plus provides heating, air conditioning and plumbing installation and service as well as appliance repairs by NATE-certified technicians and installers.
