Folsom,
NJ - South Jersey Industries [NYSE:SJI]
today announced the formation of a limited liability company,
Energenic LLC, with its subsidiary Marina Energy and long-time
business partner DCO Energy as equal owners.
Edward J. Graham, chairman, president and CEO of SJI stated, “Marina
and DCO’s success to date developing and operating
thermal facilities serving the casino industry and landfill
gas-to-electric projects has established their position as
industry leaders. Recognition of the many opportunities to
develop and operate energy projects for both the casino industry
and a number of other applications has prompted us to formalize
our partnership with DCO.”
Frank DiCola, chairman and CEO of DCO Energy explained, “The
creation of the Energenic brand will enable us to create
a more visible identity within the energy sector which will
enhance our marketing efforts. The partnership between the
two companies provides clients with efficient, technologically
advanced, environmentally friendly ideas and solutions that
put their energy issues to rest long into the future and
allows them to keep focus on their core businesses.”
Just
as importantly, the creation of Energenic is expected to
produce efficiencies that will benefit both partners by formalizing
an organizational structure and clearly delineating operational
responsibilities, reducing duplication of effort that occurs

future joint venture activities between SJI and DCO will
be conducted through Energenic.
