According to Bob Fatzinger, vice president, customer

South Jersey Gas has contracted with J.F. Kiely Construction
which maintains an office in Cape May County to install
the main, which will begin on Breakwater Road where natural
gas main currently exists. The extension will follow the
county road to Fishing Creek then Bayshore Drive. Following
installation of the gas main, South Jersey Gas will install
additional main and services to customers in the area,
beginning with the areas that express the greatest interest
in receiving natural gas service.
The utility company has planned a Community Information
Day for Saturday, March 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
at the Town Hall on Bayshore Drive to assist residents
and business owners in better understanding their
energy options and to answer any questions community members
may have regarding the project. Additionally, an
online blog has been set up to keep the community updated
as to the main extension progress. To access the
blog, visit the company’s
