Folsom, NJ - Continuing a more than two decades long tradition, South Jersey Industries employees showed tremendous generosity in 2010 by giving back to the local community through the company’s annual United Way® campaign.
Employee giving exceeded the company’s annual goal and raised over $85,000 for numerous local charities, including Robin’s Nest, Community Foodbank of Southern New Jersey, Gilda’s Club and the Salvation Army, among others.
“I’m extremely proud of the generosity our employees showed this year,” said SJI Chairman, President and CEO Edward J. Graham. “Even as the economic climate begins to stabilize, it’s important to remember that there are still many people less fortunate and in need of assistance, especially during the holiday season.”
The company’s United Way® campaign kicked off in mid-October and ended earlier this month. For more information on how South Jersey Industries is involved in the local community, go to www.sjindustries.com and click on Community Involvement.
