South Jersey Energy Among Top Companies in Customer Satisfaction
FOLSOM, N.J. -- South Jersey Energy ranked among the top five regional gas marketers in customer satisfaction in a recent study by Mastio & Co., a leading industry market researcher. The results of the 2004 survey were based on interviews with industrial end-users, local distribution companies, electric generators, independent power producers, gas producers and marketers. The survey consisted of 29 customer satisfaction attributes, including reliability of gas supply, consistency of account management, integrity and price competitiveness. Respondents to the survey ranked reliability of supply and the marketer’s historical dependability in meeting its commitment as the most important characteristics. “The ranking is important because it indicates that first and foremost we are customer focused,” said South Jersey Energy President, Michael Renna. “While it is certainly an accomplishment to be recognized and distinguished from our peers, it is more important to have verification that our approach to satisfying customers is effective.” South Jersey Energy, the state’s largest natural gas marketer, was the only energy marketer in the Northeast named in the top five.
