FOLSOM, NJ, April 1, 2020 – SJI (NYSE: SJI) announced today that it is committing $100,000 to support COVID-19 pandemic response efforts across the state.

“We recognize the extraordinary needs facing our medical and first responder communities as a result of this global pandemic,” said Mike Renna, President and CEO, SJI. “We are proud to be able to make a contribution that directly supports the life-saving work being done in the communities we serve as we face this unprecedented pandemic together.”

The contribution includes a $50,000 donation to the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund, established by New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy’s wife, first lady Tammy Murphy. “I salute SJI for its commitment and dedication to halting the spread of COVID-19 and protecting our community,” said Gary S. Horan, FACHE, President & CEO of Trinitas Regional Medical Center. “Swift, responsive and responsible leadership is what will help us manage and halt the pandemic. Thank you SJI for working with us to protect our frontline health workers and members of the general public who rely on Trinitas for care and treatment.”
