Celebrating Women’s History Month: Spotlighting Our Women’s Leadership Initiative Employee Resource Group

3/11/2026

This March, SJI proudly recognized Women’s History Month – a time to honor the remarkable achievements and contributions of women who have shaped history and continue to shape the future.

We're thrilled to champion our Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI), which enhances our company culture by building strong work relationships through networking, skill development, and community outreach.

WLI is committed to amplifying and celebrating women’s history throughout the year by providing employees with resources and educational information on the female pioneers and trailblazers who have made an impact on history.

Amongst other accomplishments, the WLI has recently:

  • Launched a free library at SJI’s Folsom and Atlantic City headquarters, honoring the stories, achievements, and contributions of women everywhere.
  • Hosted, participated in, and volunteered at several on-campus events alongside other SJI Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
  • Volunteered with Junior Achievement to mentor high school students on elevator pitches, interview skills, and team building.

In 2026, WLI is on track to launch two more libraries at our Union and Glassboro office locations. There will also be a variety of guest-speaker events, book club meetings, and plant tours throughout the year.

At SJI, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are critical to fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging for all. Our ERGs are vital, volunteer-led employee groups that significantly enhance employee engagement and promote an inclusive, collaborative workplace. These groups are open to all employees.

Thank You

Women’s History Month is more than an annual observance — it’s a renewed commitment to recognizing and uplifting our female employees. We couldn’t be the utility company we are without you.

At SJI, we are grateful to the dedicated women who strengthen our workforce and support our efforts as we strive toward a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.
