SJI Celebrates the Contributions, Commitment, and Culture of Its Workforce on National Employee Appreciation Day
FOLSOM, NJ, March 5, 2026 – In celebration of National Employee Appreciation Day, SJI hosted an event to recognize the service and dedication of its more than 1,200 employees each and every day.
The event included a company-provided lunch and town hall, where leaders of SJI shared business updates and introduced refreshed vision, mission, values and company goals under the theme, “Built on Trust. Built for the Future.” Along with giveaways and raffle prizes, employees participated in the Wheels for the World program, where they formed teams to help build bikes for deserving children in our service territory. The bikes will be donated to Better Tomorrows, which provides case management services and impactful community programming to low-income adults, seniors, children, and youth.
“This Appreciation Day is a moment to pause and deeply thank our staff who is the backbone of everything we achieve at SJI,” said Steve Cocchi, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, SJI. “Today is about more than just honoring our employees; it’s about reinforcing a culture where every employee knows their worth and sees their contributions reflected in our success.”

SJI prides itself on being a committed community partner, assisting local, regional and statewide organizations that deliver critical support to those in need, providing vital funding and contributing countless volunteer hours to programs that benefit the communities it serves. SJI supports initiatives that align with its vision, core values and priorities.
