SJI Celebrates Natural Gas Utility Workers' Day

FOLSOM, NJ, March 18, 2026 – Today, South Jersey Gas and Elizabethtown Gas, subsidiaries of SJI, celebrate Natural Gas Utility Workers’ Day, which spotlights natural gas workers’ role in providing safe, reliable and affordable natural gas service every day. 

South Jersey Gas and Elizabethtown Gas utility workers serve as front-line heroes, responsible for the construction, operation and maintenance of miles of natural gas infrastructure in the state of New Jersey. Their effort in safely expanding and modernizing the State’s natural gas delivery system helps meet the service needs of customers in the communities we serve. These crews are also members of the very communities they serve—neighbors helping neighbors—restoring not just service, but peace of mind.
