
We recently had the pleasure of hosting a company-wide celebration to recognize the incredible impact and achievements of our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) over the past year. The event underscored our continued commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and engaging workplace. Open to all employees, our ERGs are vital, volunteer-led groups that drive engagement and empower employees to extend their impact beyond the workplace through volunteerism and community initiatives.
The celebration kicked off with a team lunch, giving colleagues across departments and ERGs a chance to connect in a relaxed setting. Following the lunch, co-chairs from each ERG took the stage to deliver presentations highlighting their initiatives, accomplishments, and impact over the past year. These presentations reflected a wide range of efforts, including community engagement, volunteerism, and professional development programming. Collectively, they demonstrated the critical role ERGs play in advancing our organizational values and supporting our employees.

From impactful programming and community outreach to internal initiatives that foster belonging and professional growth, the presentations showcased the passion and dedication behind each group.
The event concluded with a networking session, where employees could engage directly with ERG leaders and members. This provided an opportunity to make new connections, exchange ideas, and encourage broader participation in ERG activities moving forward.

This celebration served not only as a reflection on the past year’s successes, but also as a powerful reminder of the significance of ERGs at SJI and the meaningful impact these groups have on our culture and our people.
