SJI SVP and CIO Leonard Brinson Jr. Recognized on “Most Influential Black Executives in Corporate America” List

FOLSOM, NJ, July 21, 2022 – SJI (SJI:NYSE) is proud to announce that Savoy, a leading African American business and lifestyle magazine, has named Leonard Brinson Jr., senior vice president and chief information officer, SJI, to its list of “Most Influential Black Executives in Corporate America.”
Now available in the publication’s Summer 2022 issue, the list recognizes African American executives, influencers and achievers whose exemplary accomplishments, influence and dedication to improving their communities positively impacts corporate America. Savoy selected Brinson, alongside the other named recipients, from a pool of over 500 prospective candidates working in various fields, such as human resources, information, real estate and finance.

As senior vice president and CIO for SJI, Brinson provides strategic guidance, leadership and direct oversight at the corporate level for all technology and business information system initiatives for SJI and its subsidiaries. His unique approach to information technology (IT) led to the expansion and transformation of the company’s organizational IT structure following the acquisition of its subsidiary, Elizabethtown Gas, in 2018.

Brinson also serves on SJI’s Senior Leadership Team and as an executive sponsor of the South Jersey Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy. Before joining SJI, Brinson held several leadership roles in the insurance, energy and automotive industries.
